The work for this project will include drilling an irrigation well approximately 190 feet deep at the City's Peninsula Park located at 2440 West Texas Street. The work will include drilling and installing a steel well casing, stainless steel well screen, surface seal, airlift well development, flow testing, providing and installing a 10 horsepower submersible pump, 3-inch diameter galvanized drop pipe, appropriately sized jacketed pump wire, 3-inch check valve, 3-inch pitless adapter, above ground electrical work including pedestal mounted exterior rated electrical controls, underground conduit, variable frequency drive, electrical power service connection, ground vault, plumbing, surge tank, and compatible pressure sensor. The project will also include some trenching and installation of 3-inch and 6-inch diameter PVC irrigation line to connect the well to the existing irrigation system. Bid Deposit - Bid Deposits shall be in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid proposal. Bid deposits shall be in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or Bid Bond. The amount of the Bid deposit shall be shown in dollars or as a percentage basis. When a Bid Bond is submitted, the Bid Bond form shall be executed by the surety company on the Bid Bond form that is provided with the contract provisions. Estimated Project Cost: $150,000 to $250,000 City of Moses Lake Business License - A current business license is required for the contractor and subcontractors. Contract Working Days: 40 If said work is not completed within the time specified, the Contractor agrees to pay the City liquidated damages of $750 as described in Section 1-08.9 of the Specifications.
