Site work for a road / highway in Boerne, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Cibolo Creek Middle School Traffic Signal & Flasher Improvements will include the relocation of existing mast arm school zone flashers, the installation of new school flasher assemblies and intersection improvements at the intersection of Wortham Oaks Blvd. and Walden Walk. Construction will also include a new traffic signal at the intersection of Wortham Oaks Blvd. and Walden Walk and general site work as indicated on the drawings and specifications. Pursuant to the provisions of Texas Education Code section 44.031 and Texas Government Code section 2267.056 and subchapter D, as amended, it is the intention of the Judson Independent School District ("JISD", "District", or "Owner") to select via the Request for Competitive Sealed Proposal method a construction contractor for the project described herein. BASE PROPOSAL: The base proposal includes all Work as indicated in the drawings and specifications entitled Cibolo Creek Middle School - Traffic signal and flasher improvements, dated April 19, 2023, and prepared by Moy Tarin Ramirez Engineers, LLC 12770 Cimarron Path, Suite 100 San Antonio, TX 7824 Telephone: (210) 698-5051 TIME OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION: The Project must be complete and ready for occupancy not later than June 6th, 2025. Any proposal must provide for final completion by this date. Alternately, Offerors are asked to submit the number of calendar days required for completion of the Work, if completion of the Work shall be prior to such date. Offerors are advised that The Project is subject to liquidated damages in the amount of $1,250.00 per day for each day's delay in the Substantial Completion of the Work. ESTIMATED PROJECT BUDGET: $500,000.00, based on the Plans and Specifications dated April 19, 2023, Job No. RFCSP 23-21 prepared by Moy Tarin Ramirez Engineers. PROPOSAL DOCUMENTS: Documents will be available beginning April 19, 2024 and may be obtained through the Judson ISD Public Purchase site at website. In addition, documents are also available for viewing at the following locations: San Antonio Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) 10806 Gulfdale San Antonio, Texas 78216 (210) 349-4921 A fully refundable $500.00 deposit for each set of printed documents is required. Checks are to be made payable to the Architectural firm. The deposit will be refunded when proposal documents are returned as stated below: Qualified Offerors (General Contractors) may obtain up to two (2) sets of plans and specifications for the deposit indicated above. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Subcontractors, and Structural Steel Suppliers may obtain (1) one set of plans and specifications for the deposit indicated above. Subcontractors & suppliers not indicated and additional sets beyond that indicated above may be purchased. Contact Architectural firm, for information regarding purchase of plan sets. FULL REFUND: Deposits will be returned provided all Contract Documents and Addenda are returned to the Architect complete with all sheets bound in their original order within ten (10) days of the proposal opening. FORFEIT OF DEPOSIT: When the Documents are not returned under the conditions specified, none of the deposit will be returned. However, the Documents shall remain the property of the Owner and must be returned. If the Proposal Documents are returned timely but in poor condition, a reasonable amount for the cost of reproduction will be deducted from the amount of deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded to the General Contractor, Supplier, or Subcontractor. SCHEDULE FOR PROPOSAL RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: All proposals must be delivered in person or by United States mail. Proposals received by oral, telephonic, facsimile, telegraph or other electronic means are invalid and will not receive consideration. All documents required to be submitted as set forth in the instructions to Offerors shall be enclosed in a sealed, opaque envelope, addressed to the "J.J. McQuade, Director of Purchasing" at the address specified below and identified as a proposal for: Cibolo Creek Middle School - Traffic Signal and Flasher Improvements If the proposal is delivered other than by personal delivery, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope clearly notated "SEALED PROPOSAL ENCLOSED" on the face thereof. The sealed proposal shall include one signed hard copy and one electronic copy on a thumb drive. All proposals must be delivered to Owner at the following address: Judson Independent School District Attn: J.J. McQuade, Director of Purchasing Purchasing Department 8012 Shin Oak Live Oak, Texas 78233 BID SECURITY: A proposal bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Proposal, plus all additive alternatives, if applicable, shall be attached to the Proposal Form.
