This is a Major Works contract offered for performance of Forest Service Road (FSR) maintenance throughout the South Zone of BCTS Okanagan-Columbia Business Area. This contract will be offered as an Option-to-Renew. The purpose of this contract is to maintain FSRs to meet the business goals of BCTS Okanagan-Columbia, improve access to planned timber sales, and facilitate future planned FSR construction and deactivation. Contract deliverables will be planned for completion throughout the fiscal year to meet the business area quarterly targets. Projects will be completed concurrently as per the approved work progress plan and schedules. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to online by May 15, 2024 Estimated Contract Duration (12 months) A Bid Security is required for this contract, supplied at the time of tender, and to the standards outlined in Section 6.0 of the Conditions of Tender. Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022.
