The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Removal of approximately Thirty-two thousand (32,000) tons of waste by trucking from transfer station owned and operated by Colquitt County, on behalf of the City of Thomasville and disposal of said waste at an appropriate facility. The waste to be removed will be collected from a transfer station to be operated by Colquitt County located at 1816 Shade Murphy Road, Moultrie, GA 31768 Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. All proposals will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the opening, but City of Thomasville, also known as "OWNER," may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. Each proposal must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed envelope containing a proposal must be plainly marked on the outside as, "Solid Waste Transportation & Disposal Contractual Services." If proposal is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the proposal must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address previously given. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
