Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mechanic Falls, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The North Street road improvements portion of the project involves full depth pavement reclamation and fine grading, and hot mix asphalt base paving (approximately 3,100 linear feet). The Elm Street sidewalk and road improvements portion of the project involves paving a new 5-foot-wide hot mix asphalt paved sidewalk (approximately 2,050 linear feet), and shim and surface paving a 450 linear foot section of the road. The successful bidder must furnish the following: 1. Certificate of Insurance (in accordance with Section 3, Article 26) 2. 100% Construction Performance Bond 3. 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bon The Town of Mechanic Falls will have thirty (30) calendar days within which to accept or reject any bid. Work shall be completed on Elm Street by August 23, 2024 and on North Street by September 27, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250.00 per day are contained in the Contract. The Town of Mechanic Falls reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget. Funding for this project is contingent upon voter approval at the Municipal Town Budget Vote on June 11, 2024. The Town of Mechanic Falls reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Mechanic Falls, not necessarily the lowest bid.
