Demolition, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Port Orchard, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Electrical Scope of Work: 1. Demolish and dispose of the existing Motor Control Center MCC144 including all associated electrical components in exterior cabinets, fence, main feeders and its corresponding main feeder and branch circuits to include pull boxes and related appurtenances. 2. Provide new MCC144 and its corresponding appurtenances including, but not limited to: a. Circuit breakers. b. Main feeder from the existing Transformer T-6. This includes new trenches with spare ducts. c. Traffic rated pull box installed adjacent to Transformer T-6 for refeeding new MCC144 d. Conduits and wires for each existing loads. e. Soft start pump controllers. f. From Existing Transformer T-6: Install tap and a new non-fused service switch ahead of existing switch Replace existing service switch with new fused type switch on load side of new non-fused switch. The new MCC144 will be located inside B144. KTR should be conscious of B144 door width dimensions for determining new equipment depth (building is CMU block with a standard exterior door size). KTR shall install an ufer bare copper conductor in open trench to provide common and sufficient grounding of new MCC gear and new transformer T-144 as new service equipment. KTR shall also install same type of ufer in trench to ground and bond the new utility pad and Product Recovery Tank (PRT) once the old MCC equipment and slab is removed. Provide new Panel PP1. Provide new branch and reconnect all existing branch circuits of the demolished Panel PP1 to the new Panel PP1. Provide new Transformer T-144. Demolish and dispose the existing main feeder of Panel PNL144 and provide new feeder from the new Transformer T-144 to the existing Panel PNL144. Demolish and dispose the existing main feeder of Panel 144-B and provide new feeder from the new Panel PP1 to the existing Panel 144-B. Testing and commissioning of the MCC144 and its related loads. Design and install new fire alarm system and related appurtenances. Ensure new fire alarm system is compatible with the current system (Siemens). New fire suppression system shall be designed and installed as part of mechanical scope of work. Include capacity in design for two additional 600 GPM, approximately 30 HP, pumps.Ensure wire size of need feed to MCC, breaker size and MCC cabinet can accommodate the future loads. Any incidental related work. Structural Scope of Work: Demolish and dispose of the existing slab beneath the MCC and security fence. Modify the floor inside Building 144 to support installation of the new MCC. Provide a new reinforced concrete slab to support the footprint of the PRT and associated pump. The PRT and pump will be anchored to concrete bases for structural support. Provide traffic protection to PRT. Patch and repair holes caused by removing existing fire dampers as part of mechanical scope of work. Any incidental related work. III. Mechanical Scope of Work: Provide new PRT and its corresponding appurtenances including, but not limited to: Tank level indicators and switches b. Vents c. Overfill protection Pump to return the collected product back to the system Pump control panel with strobe, horn, and pilot lights that provide the following pump control and level alarm functionality: i. If the liquid level within the tank reaches high level (85%), a strobe will alert operators. ii. If the liquid level within the tank reaches high-high level (95%), a strobe and horn will alert operators. iii. If the liquid level within the tank reaches low level, the pump will shut off and a strobe will flash to alert operators. iv. If the liquid level within the secondary containment reaches high level, a strobe and horn will alert operators. v. Horn and strobe must be silenced with an alarm-acknowledge pushbutton on the pump control panel. Pilot light and pump interlock must remain active until alarm condition is cleare vi. The pump must be manually controlled by a local start-stop pushbutton station and interlock with the above-noted safety controls. Ensure compatibility with DLA requirements for Automated Tank Gauging (ATG) equipment for this size tank. See Enclosure 8 in Part 6.
