Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Work includes acquisition, furnishing, and installation of proposed improvements at the, Campus Regulator, Keller Regulator, Gramercy Regulator, and Villareal Regulators indicated on the plans and specifications. Additionally, work shall include a new Cull Creek Rate Control Station/Regulator to supply the Almond Pressure Zone from the Southern Loop Pipeline. Estimated cost of this work is between $2M and $4M. This project will require multiple trades and types of work; for example (note: this list is not all inclusive): demolition, saw-cutting, concrete coring, hazardous materials handling, grading, excavation, shoring, fill, concrete, rebar, waterproofing, painting, industrial coatings, structural steel, bolting, welding, mechanical, electrical, pipeline, plumbing, handrails, guardrails, ladders, gratings and railings, fencing, trucking, hydroseeding, paving, and other required work and trades. For additional description and information, see Document 00 41 01 - Bid Form, Document 00 41 05 - Description of Bid Items, Section 01 11 00 - Summary of Work, and the remaining contract documents. Additional site visit note: No more than two persons per bidder shall attend. Attendees shall assemble at Campus Regulator located at 13700 Campus Dr, Oakland. Following inspection of Campus Regulator, bidders shall assemble at the Keller Regulator, located at 13808 Campus Dr, Oakland. Following inspection of Keller Regulator, bidders shall assemble at Gramercy Regulator, located at 15939 Gramercy Dr, San Leandro. Following inspection of Gramercy Regulator, the bidders shall assemble at Cull Creek Regulator, located at Cull Canyon Rd & Heyer Ave, Castro Valley. The bid walk will then proceed to the Villareal Regulator, located at Villareal Dr and Greenwood Cir. These are the only times that the Campus, Keller, Gramercy, Cull Creek and Villareal Regulators will be open for inspection. The inspection will last approximately three hours. No photography by the Attendees will be allowed. The District will take photographs, as requested by the Attendees, restricted to the work zone. The District will release photographs to Attendees after the bid walk, pending review by the District. All Attendees are required to have a photo ID and sign a confidentiality agreement not to share, sell, or publish photos. The Prime Contractor and its subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend the jobsite inspection where a "sign-in" sheet will be provided. Requirements of the District's Contract Equity Program including the Local Hire component will be discussed and explained at the jobsite inspection. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 3400, the District has established a procedure which permits bidders to have their proposed unlisted "or equal" product or service submittals evaluated prior to the project bid opening. See Instructions To Bidders, Article 3 - "Submittals Prior To Opening Bid." This procedure does not apply where products or services have been limited by specific designation per Public Contract Code Section 3400 (c). The intent of the prequalification process is not for bidders to submit all of their proposed "or equal" products, but only those that would, if rejected, affect the bidder's bid amount. All Contractors bidding on a public works project and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be registered with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Labor Code. As provided in Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contractor may substitute securities for monies withheld by the District to ensure performance of the work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
