Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Monroe, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Subcontractor lists must be submitted within the deadline listed on the forms. This Contract provides for the replacement of the aging watermain under Dickinson Road, the extension of an existing sewer line, as well as addressing stormwater ponding issues at various locations along this road. The water main replacement phase of the project will involve the installation of approximately 940 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron pipe, 20 lineal feet of 6-inch ductile iron pipe and 20 feet of 4-inch ductile iron pipe. It will also include the installation of a hydrant assembly and the replacement of seven (7) service connections. The sewer extension construction phase of this project will include the installation of 450 LF of 8- inch PVC Sewer Pipe, 180 lineal feet of 6-inch Sanitary Sewer Pipe and three (3) 48-inch Type I Manholes. The stormwater pipe network construction phase of this project will include the installation of approximately 600 lineal feet of 12-inch diameter storm pipe, and 170 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter storm pipe. It will include the installation of seven (7) Type I catch basins, three (3) Type II catch basins, four (4) Water Quality Catch Basin Type 148-inch Manholes with 27-inch WQ Filter Cartridge two catch basin inlets. The pipe network will drain to three (3) infiltration galleries containing 410 lineal feet of 12-inch diameter perforated pipes. The project will include removal and restoration of asphalt surfacing, concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, curbs and gutters, fencing and gates, seeding, landscaping, and other features within the right-of-way as necessary to install the stormwater improvements and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost is approximately $2,000,000.00. Contractor shall not begin any roadway excavation work until the Monroe School District is not in session. The first date of roadway excavation work shall begin on June 24, 2024. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished in the Contract Provisions, and each must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Monroe in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid including sales tax, and all listed additives and alternates, if any. Cash will not be accepted. Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Snohomish County apply to this Project. The City of Monroe reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bid or in the bidding process, and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Monroe in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2oood to 2OOod-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such ACT, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
