Walpole High School Roof Question Deadline 05/12/2024 All requests for clarification from potential bidders shall be submitted via email to pshield@walpole-ma.gov. The Town of Walpole, herein called the Owner and Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Walpole High School Partial Roof Replacement located at Walpole High School, 275 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081. The existing roof to be replaced was damaged in a recent storm event and needs to be replaced. The roof material is EPDM and will need to be tied into adjacent areas that are not being replaced. Although the entire scope of work is enclosed herein, a summary includes: o New EDPM roof membrane as indicated on the drawings. o New roof insulation and roof edge along with blocking as required. o Extension of roof vents and drains as required for new thickness of insulation. o Final cleaning and leak detection. The work described in this IFB shall be conducted in accordance with the following Scope of Work. The required scope of services for the Walpole High School Partial Roof Replacement is set forth below: A. Replacement of the EDPM roof membrane as specified in the project manual and as shown in the drawings. The project requires new insulation in the affected area as specified in the project manual and as shown in the drawings. In addition new accessory items such as flashings, vapor barrier, roof edge and terminations are required as specified in the project manual and as shown in the drawings. B. Existing roof drains will remain in place and vent pipes and other penetrations through the roof will need to be considered and treated as required by code and as required for a return to operational conditions that pre-existed the project. C. Roof areas not being replaced shall be protected to ensure no damage occurs
