Dorchester School District Two is seeking sealed, competitive proposals for the replacement of the existing track system at Fort Dorchester High School with either a new latex or polyurethane resilient running surface. The scope also includes asphalt and sub-base replacement, as needed, and certified surface striping. Questions regarding this solicitation must be directed to Ashley Cash, Procurement Officer, in writing via email at ascash@dorchester2.k12.sc.us no later than May 7, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. DESCRIPTION Dorchester School District Two, hereafter referred to as DD2 or the District, is soliciting sealed, competitive proposals from qualified firms to provide and install a new resilient running track surfacing system at Fort Dorchester High School located at 8500 Patriot Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29420. Work shall include, but not be limited to removal of the existing track surface (DynaFasTrack Latex Track System), milling and removal of existing asphalt and subbase layers, as needed, installation of all previously mentioned layers, installation of a new resilient running track surface, and application of lane markings and striping sufficient for record setting competitions/meets. The contract includes all construction services typical for a project of this scope and size as well as post-construction warranty coverage of the new track system (including any resealing applications as specified by the manufacturer) for the duration of the resilient track systems life cycle.
