Sanitary Sewermain Smoke Testing And Installation Of Sewermain Lining Scope Of Work: The Work Consists Of Providing All Labor And Equipment For Smoke Testing And Sewermain Lining At Various Locations In The Village Of Walden, A Length Of Approximately 1,600 Linear Feet. The Area To Be Tested Is The Downtown Area Of The Village Including But Not Limited To New York State Route 52, Orchard Street, Municipal Square, Maple Street, Pine Street, Scofield Street And East Main Street. Information For Bidders, Specifications, And Contract Documents For The Proposed Work Are On File And Publicly Exhibited At The Village Of Walden, One Municipal Square, Walden, New York, 12586, Telephone Number (845) 778-2177. The Said Specifications May Only Be Reviewed At The Village Manager's Office. Addenda, If Any Will Be Issued Only To Those Persons Whose Name And Address Are On The Record As Having Obtained The Contract Documents. Documents May Be Obtained Via Online Means At No Charge By Contacting Lanc & Tully, P.c. At (845) 294-3700. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied By An Acceptable Form Of Bid Guarantee In An Amount Equal To At Least Five (5) Percent Of The Amount Of The Bid Payable To The Village Of Walden As A Guarantee That If The Bid Is Accepted, The Bidder Will Execute The Contract And File Acceptable Performance And Labor, Material Payment Bonds, And Certificate (S) Of Insurance Within Ten (10) Days After The Award Of The Contract. This Project Is Being Funded In Whole Or In Part By The Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) With Funds Obtained From The U.s. Department Of Housing And Urban Development (Hud). All Federal Cdbg Requirements Will Apply To The Contract. Prevailing Wages Established Under The Davisbacon Act Will Apply To This Contract. New York State Law Requires That The Contractor Pay The Higher Of State Prevailing Wages Or Davis-bacon, For Each Class Of Worker. The Work To Be Performed Under This Contract Is Subject To The Requirements Of Section 3 Of The Housing And Urban Development Act Of 1968, 12 U.S.C. 1701 U (Section 3). The Purpose Of Section 3 Is To Ensure That Employment And Other Economic Opportunities Generated By Hud Assistance Shall To The Greatest Extent Feasible, Be Directed To Low-and Very Low-income Persons. Attention Of Bidders Is Particularly Called To The Requirement As To Conditions Of Employment To Be Observed And The Minimum Wage Rates To Be Paid Under The Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, And Executive Order 11246. The Requirements For Bidders And Contractors Under This Order, Which Concerns Non-discrimination In Employment, Are Further Explained In The Contract Documents And Attachments. Bidders Are Also Required To Comply With The Provisions Of Section 291-299 Of The Executive Law Of The State Of New York. The schedule is effective from July 2023 through June 2024. All updates, corrections, posted on the 1st business day of each month, and future copies of the annual determination are available on the Department's website www.labor.ny.gov.Updated PDF copies of your schedule can be accessed by entering your assigned PRC# at the proper location on the website. Copies may be obtained at Lane and Tully Engineering, P.C., 3132 Route 207, Campbell Hall, NY 10916 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Persons shall leave name, correct mailing address and phone number, along with a $60.00 deposit for each set. The deposit shall be in the form of check or money order only - NO CASH, and shall be made payable to Lane & Tully P.C., to be refunded in accordance with Section 102 of General Municipal Law, upon return of said document in good condition. Addenda, if any will be issued only to those persons whose name and address are on the record as having obtained the contract documents. However, the Contractor shall not typically commence testing before 8:00 a.m. local time and shall terminate testing no later than 4:00 p.m. each day. If the Contractor wishes to test before 8:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m. local time in commercial areas or high traffic areas, such testing shall be shown on the submitted WORK SCHEDULE and is subject to the Village Engineer's approval.
