Site work for a mixed-use development in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a development; manufacturing facility; and water / sewer project.

Enclosed is a Request for Proposals from qualified industrial site preparation companies interested in working with the City of Hawkinsville to develop a 100,000 square foot pad-ready site within the industrial park to include the following work on a +/- 15.895 acre tract: (1) rake, grub and clear the proposed site; (2) grade and grass any cleared areas to prevent erosion; (3) construct retention pond; and (4) installation of any necessary drainage pipe. The general contractor selected for this project will be expected to work with the City of Hawkinsville on various improvements to the project site that may include work in or crossing the city's public rights-of way. Work will need to be coordinated to ensure minimal disruption to roadway usage and utility services to avoid adverse impacts to surrounding businesses. The contractor will also be responsible for reviewing the needs to the site as determined by the City of Hawkinsville's engineer so that the project is performed in a quality manner and in accordance with pertinent design standards and state and federal regulations. The initial work documents required of the selected individual or firm will consist of a proposed plan of work and cost estimates. These documents will need to be refined in close communication with the City of Hawkinsville. The general contractor managing work will be responsible for assuming construction risk from the owner. The City of Hawkinsville expects an emphasis on cost control under this project.
