Northwest Pedestrian Improvements Description of Work: Northwest Pedestrian Improvements: the Reconstruction of Sidewalks, Sidepaths, and Curb Ramps in Various Locations Within the Northwestern Area of the Town of Plainfield. The Area is Approximately Bordered by Gibbs Road to the North, Vestal Road to the East, Us 40 to the South, and Various Roads to the West, Most of Which Could Be Described as Subdivisions Built Along Saratoga Parkway to Either Side. Pavement Markings, Signage, Along With Incidental Clearing, Tree Removal, Rough and Finish Grading, Curbs, Curb and Gutter, Maintenance of Traffic, Restoration of Bordering Turf Areas and Related Work is Also Included. The Project is Presented as a Base Bid Area and Up to 4 Additional Alternate Areas. It is the Town's Intent to Accept as Many Alternates as the Available Budget Allows. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than FOUR (4) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect Question Deadline 05/27/2024 Bid Security: Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by an Acceptable Certified Check Made Payable to the Town of Plainfield or an Acceptable Bid Bond in the Amount Equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price Executed by an Incorporated Surety Company in Good Standing and Qualified to Do Business in the State of Indiana and Whose Name Appears on the Current Treasury Department Circular 570. Bonds: a Performance Bond and Payment Bond Each in the Amount of 100 Percent of the Contract Price Will Be Required From the Contractor to Whom the Work is Awarded. The Contractor and All Subcontractors Will Be Required to Comply With Required Federal and State Labor Regulations Including Equal Employment Opportunity, Non-segregated Facilities, and Affirmative Action Requirements. No Bidder May Withdraw the Proposal Within a Period of 60 Days Following the Date Set for the Receiving of Bids. The Town Reserves the Right to Retain Any and All Bids for a Period of Not More Than 60 Days and Said Bid Shall Remain in Full Force and Effect During Said Time. The Town Further Reserves the Right to Waive Informalities and to Award the Contract to Any Bidder All to the Advantage of the Town of Plainfield or to Reject All Bids. Indiana Requirements: Standard Questionnaire Form 96 (Latest Version), Completely Filled Out and Signed, Including Attachment of Contractor's Financial Statement as Stipulated in Section Iii.
