The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for design and planning services for Instream Habitat Restoration on the Middle Fork John Day River (MFJD) project. Firms must show experience with instream construction and demonstrated design experience with instream habitat restoration including, the utilization of wood debris and the creation of pools and riffles. The project is located 16 miles northwest of Bates State Park on the Dunstan Preserve property that is owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs (CTWS). This is continued phase and effort of a large instream restoration project. The intent is to address the degraded channel structure which affects both steelhead and Chinook in the MFJD. Project Design: The selected firm will be tasked with construction ready design plans and cost estimates as well as site assessment(s) and survey produce design concepts, drawings, needed permits, construction sequencing, etc. A final 100% design and implementation plan that is ready for construction is the end goal. This project contains federal funding and subject to Davis-Bacon and bonding requirements. A bid bond of 5% of the total proposed amount must accompany the submittal. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of total contract amount will be required of the successful awardee. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
