Update: The Town of Brookhaven owns and operates a solid waste management complex on Horseblock Road in Brookhaven, N.Y. Within this complex is a transfer station that is managed by a contracted vendor. The Town is responsible for structural repairs including the roof. Due to the age and corrosive nature of waste, the roof panels are beginning to deteriorate and is at the end of its functional life. The roof is required to maintain regulatory compliance, and provide a dry location for the material to be transferred to tractor trailers. This project would remove and replace the roof to the Transfer Station.
