2024 Road Resurfacing Program The Mayor and Council of the Township of Fairfield, have been filed in the office of the Municipal Engineer, located in the Municipal Building at 230 Fairfield Road, Fairfield, Essex County, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders beginning April 29, 2024 during regular business hours (8:30 A.M.- 4:00 P.M.). Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes and must bear the name and address of the bidder on the outside and envelopes shall be labeled "2024 Road Resurfacing Program". All bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, but in any event shall not be less than $500.00 nor greater than $20,000.00 and must be accompanied by a consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Record of Recent Contract Awards must also accompany the proposal on the forms provided. Bids will be accepted in the following ways: 1. Bids will be received at the hour and on the date specified above. A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. 6. The Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Fairfield reserves the right to reject all bids, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid.
