This project includes a milestone for the relocation of two existing portables. The two portables shall be complete and ready for occupancy on July 26, 2024. SB 854 established new public works contractor registration program requirements for all public works projects. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5; Starting March 1 st , 2015 no contractor/subcontractor may be listed in a bid proposal unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Starting April 1 st , 2015 no contractor/subcontractor may be awarded a contract, nor employed on a Public Works project unless registered with the DIR. This project is subject to prevailing wage requirements and compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR and may at any time require contractors/subcontractors to upload electronic certified payroll records on the DIR website. Bidders shall be required to have a valid class "B" Contractor's License. To the extent required by Public Contract Code Section 20103.7, the District shall also make the Contract Documents available for review at one or more. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 et seq of the California Labor Code, each worker of the contractor and any of its subcontractors engaged in work on the Project shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check , or bidders bond in an amount not less than ten (10%) percent of the total bids made payable to MUSD. The substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments in accordance with public Contract Code Section 22300 is permitted.
