No definite date for the rebid.** Furnishing all labor, materials, services, and equipment and performing all work necessary for the Reedley Airport Restroom Project in the City of Reedley, Fresno County. The work includes, in general, construction of concrete restroom pad, foundation, path of travel, utilities, design/build of septic system and installation of a City provided pre-engineered restroom. This work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before the expiration of FORTY (40) WORKING DAYS beginning on the fifteenth calendar day after the date shown on the Notice to Proceed. The City of Reedley hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religious creed, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Each bid must be accompanied by either a cashier's check, certified check or bidder's bond in a sum equal to at least ten (10%) percent of the total amount bid. Checks or bonds must be made payable to the City of Reedley; such securities shall be a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will enter into a satisfactory contract and furnish a good and sufficient bond for faithful performance thereof and for payment of labor and material costs in accordance with the requirements of the plans and specifications. No contract will be awarded to a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 791, Statutes of 1929, as amended, or whose bid is not on the proposal form included in the contract documents. An appropriate and valid California Contractor's License is required for award and not for bidding on the project. The Contractor must be properly licensed as a contractor from contract award through contract acceptance (Public Contract Code 10164). A Class B General Building Contractor's license is required. Only those who have purchased plans and specification from the office of the City Engineer will be considered eligible prime bidders and listed on the plan holders list. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list in order to submit a bid proposal and to receive any addendums issued by the City of Reedley.
