Site work for a water / sewer project in Aurora, Illinois. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of shallow wells #117 and #128 at the current deep well locations of Wells 17 and 28, 811. N. Highland Ave. and 1960 E. Indian Trail, respectively. Utilizing shallow well water provides benefits of electrical savings and use of a resource that renews at a faster rate when compared to the deep well aquifer. Well 128 proposed for 2024; Well 117 proposed for 2025. The project is included in the City's 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of June 9, 2025, per owner, they have their preferred design consultant under contract for the Well 128 project. Construction is based on bidding from licensed Illinois well drillers. Well 117 information not identified yet as owner is not willing to give further information. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
