Site work for a water / sewer project in Aurora, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Construction of shallow wells #117 and #128 at the current deep well locations of Wells 17 and 28, 811. N. Highland Ave. and 1960 E. Indian Trail, respectively. Utilizing shallow well water provides benefits of electrical savings and use of a resource that renews at a faster rate when compared to the deep well aquifer. Well 128 proposed for 2024; Well 117 proposed for 2025. The project is included in the City's 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 2, 2024, per owner, one of these projects may begin design in early 2025, but the consultant is already known. Construction is based on bidding from licensed Illinois well drillers. Owner was not willing to disclose consultant at this time. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
