Work to be done includes removal of soil, installation of base material, forming and pouring of sidewalk, approaches and retaining ledger along City street right-of-way and all related work as specified within the bid documents. The contract requires the installation of approximately 300 linear feet or 20 square yards of sidewalk, ledger, approaches and detectable warning surfaces. As a federally funded public works project it is subject to the provisions of the Michigan state public works law, rates pursuant to the Prevailing Wage Law, Act 166, P.A. of 1965 and the Federal Davis-Bacon and related acts. To provide all supervision, material, labor, equipment, service operations and expertise required to remove and install sidewalk, sidewalk approaches, detectable warning surfaces, . These specifications, includin locations, apply to those items necessary for and incidental to the execution and completion of the sidewalk installation. Contractor has responsibility to: A. Remove material (driveways, pavements) as specified, installation of concrete sidewalk, approaches, detectable warning surfaces and restoration. B. Contact Miss Dig/local utility for verification of all underground utility lines in the area of the work prior to the work being started. C. Exercise reasonable care during pavement and soil removal and other site features, improvements, structures and utilities. D. Work safely and adhere to all applicable standards and permit requirements.
