In general, the work consists of the removal and replacement of two mechanical bar screens, pump station roof, motor control center, transformer, surge control system and other miscellaneous accessories. The City has prepurchased the motor control center, transformer and bar screens. Bids must be submitted on the forms bound herein, must contain the names of every person or company interested therein, and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the amount of 100% of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety, or by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid. The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual opening thereof. The City of Lima reserves the right to waive any Bid or Bid process irregularities, which the City determines in its sole discretion to be in its favor, to reject any or all Bids for any reason determined to be appropriate in the sole discretion of the City, and to award the Bid to the lowest and best bidder meeting the City's needs as determined by the City at the City's sole discretion. The City of Lima will consider all bid submissions to be public records, subject to disclosure under Ohio's Public Records laws. If any vendor believes any part of its submission is confidential or otherwise not covered under the public records laws, the vendor must also submit a redacted electronic version of its submission in pdf format only. Failure to submit a redacted version will be considered to mean the Vendor acquiesces in the city's determination that the submission is a public record.
