The Town is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the construction of a conduit and handhold system along portions of N. Greensboro St., S. Greensboro Street, E. Main St. and Roberson Street in Carrboro, NC. The selected firm will be responsible for supplying all conduit, conduit couplers, handholes, MULETAPE type pull line, tracer wire, duct plugs and any supplies plus the personnel and machinery required to construct a continuous conduit (consisting of two 2 SDR 11 HDPE conduits) and handhold system along portions of N. Greensboro St., S. Greensboro St., E. Main St. and Roberson St. including two lateral runs to specified buildings in Carrboro, NC for the purpose of holding fiber optic cabling. Fiber optic cabling will not be installed or supplied for this project. Main St. and Roberson St. including two lateral runs (ending at HH4 and HH8 respectively) to specified buildings in Carrboro, NC for the purpose of holding fiber optic cabling. Handholes HH1, HH5, HH6 and HH10 are existing handlholes. Please note that all single orange lines between handholes on Exhibit 1-a and 1-b represent two (2) 2" SDR 11 HDPE conduits going between handholds.
