This RFP is seeking Construction Management firms (Proponents) with a successful track record of providing Construction Management services for installation of two heat pumps that have been pre-purchased by UBC. The two heat pumps for this particular phase will be located and installed by the contractor on the 2nd floor. Questions Due Date: May 10th 2024, 4:00 PM PDT BRDF Waste Heat Recovery Project - Phase 2 (Heat Pumps) scope will include, but not be limited to, the following: New enclosure built on an existing site/foundation, enclosure will be non-sprinkerled and will be classified as unoccupied; Retrieval of pre-purchased heat pumps from Belton Rigging, total cost of heat pumps (including tax) is $745,000 CAD; Installation of heat pumps and associated distribution pumps; Electrical infrastructure related to project: Transformers, switchgear, electrical distrution and controls; Building mechanical systems to handle heat load, unit heaters and emergency ventilation; Building lighting and electrical; Interconnected piping between new building and existing; Piping connection to condensing economizers; Integrating new heat pumps to existing BRDF control room and PLC (Rockwell: Allen Bradley Controllogix); Structural and seismic supports for new piping; Additional platform installation inside plant; Coordination with TSBC for trade permits, including but not limited to: Electrical and refrigeration; and AS-BUILT drawings, O&M's, training, hand-over and commissioining.
