NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the following major elements: Island-wide asphalt repairs and patching including pulverizing existing road surface, milling, material removal, grading, and paving; as well as grind and overlay operations for the roads highlighted in the attached map - Appendix A. Bond Notes: All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond, on the form provided, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2024 edition, as issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), Washington State Chapter, (Standard Specifications) as amended by the Amendments to the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island.
