Demolition and new construction of a transportation facility in Coronado, California. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a 2,625-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility; and for the construction of a 4,900-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility.

BUILDING REQUIREMENTS 1. Construct a new 1-story Air Terminal of approximately 4,900 square feet (not to exceed 5,000 SF) footprint at San Clemente Island (SCI) to replace deteriorated existing 2,625 SF facility that is beyond its service life. New air terminal shall be considered a Category 1A small terminal, per Passenger Terminal Facility Design Guide, with expected peak 3- hour passenger load under 100 passengers. New facility shall be sited such that set back distance from TARMAC of 100 feet is met. Building Type Building shall have CMU enclosure and pre-finished aluminum roof to withstand the harsh marine climate. Building envelope shall be designed and constructed to meet energy requirements. Building plan shall incorporate spaces as noted in Room Requirements and as shown in Concept Plan. Contractor shall provide a permanent means of roof access with a lockable cover. Building systems shall include electrical, HVAC, plumbing, sewer, fire protection, fire alarm, phone/data communications, and MNS. Interior shall be finished per C30. FF&E package is part of this project. BASE ITEM 0001 Firm Fixed Price (Lump Sum) including all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, permits, bond costs and incidental work related to providing for Design Build construction to Repair/Replace Air Terminal at San Clemente Island, Naval Base Coronado, California. This also includes bond costs, overhead, and profit, complete in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and all amendments. The period of Performance (POP) is 495 calendar days (including 15 days for bond submittal) from Task Order award. LOCATION The place of performance is San Clemente Island Naval Base Coronado, CA. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and transportation to design and build an Air Terminal at SCI, NBC. Any RFIs submitted after the cutoff date may not receive a response.
