The City of Irwindale is requesting sealed proposals for a performance based contract from qualified individuals or firms to furnish complete janitorial services for the City of Irwindale facilities. The City has the right to reject any and all RFQ's, and to modify the terms of this Request either before or after the deadline for submission of proposals, negotiate with one or more of the Contractors, to call for additional proposals, or to refrain from accepting any proposal. California Labor Code Section 1770, et. Seq., requires contractors and vendors working for government agencies to pay their workers based on the prevailing wage rate which are established and issued by the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Statistics and Research. Prevailing wages are based on the type or work and location of the project. The contractor must abide by the wage that is the greater of the two Licenses- The Proposal must include a statement indicating that all necessary business and corporate licenses are currently held and must provide the licenses numbers. If all necessary licenses are not currently held, the proposal must indicate that the necessary applications have been made and that the firm is qualified for the licenses The Contractor must post a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded bid price. In lieu of a performance bond, the successful proposer may submit a surety deposit equal to 10% of the award amount. This surety deposit may be in the form of a certified or cashier check, money order, a special notice of account or other approved negotiable instrument made payable to the City. A performance bond for 100% of the contract amount. This must be provided prior to award; Surety in the form of ten percent (10%) of the contract amount. This must be provided prior to award. If you choose this requirement and are the successful proposer, then your company will be required to meet the 100% performance bond based on the contract award amount and required to submit the 90% balance of the contract amount as a bond, cashier's check, or 20% deducted from the four (4) payments and 10% deducted from the fifth (5th) payment to the contractor Should you have any questions regarding this Request for Quotations please contact Richard Corpis at (626) 430-2253 or rcorpis@irwindaleca.gov RFQ QUESTIONS DUE: Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. (PST) From July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027, with options to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Renewals will be by mutual agreement requested in writing and based on an evaluation of highly Satisfactory or greater.
