Reference Number 0000269177 The deadline for written questions has been extended to May 24, 2024 @ 4:00 PM (AST). 1 This specification covers all technical aspects of sewer lateral CCTV Inspection in order to determine the structural distress and defects, operational and maintenance defects, miscellaneous observation, construction features as well as the existing structural and service condition of the lateral sewer services and connection to the mainline as described in the latest version of the NASSCO LACP. 2 The work involved requires special equipment to be handled by persons experienced in all phases of the work. All work shall be done in a quick and efficient manner and to the satisfaction of the CA. 3 The work to be performed shall include but not be limited to all labour, tools, equipment, materials, permitting, health and safety, traffic control supplies and materials as well as all necessary supervision and coordination to perform the work and provide reporting and deliverables. 4 In general, the following sections detail specific requirements of the work to be performed. The work includes but is not limited to: 1 Mobilization/Demobilization 2 Permitting, locating maintenance hole, access, traffic control, etc. 3 Initial CCTV inspection all sewer lateral pipelines (V1 CCTV) to record the existing condition of the lateral pipe. This work item is to be completed for all the lateral pipelines in the community identified in the Form of Tender or discovered post initial CCTV inspection and recommended for repairs by the CA 4 Cleaning and preparation of the lateral pipeline and mainline sewer connection zone to facilitate pressure testing and chemical grouting operations 5 Post Cleaning CCTV inspection of sewer and laterals (V2 CCTV). This work item is to be completed for lateral pipelines identified for chemical grouting repairs .6 Flow Control 7 Pressure Testing of all selected lateral sewer pipelines 8 Chemical grout injection of all laterals that fail the pressure, where identified to have had active infiltration or have active infiltration at the time of inspection or testing .9 Pressure testing laterals sealed by grout injection. 10 Post-grouting CCTV inspection of sewer and laterals that received grout injection and post-repair pressure testing (V3) 11 Liaison and coordination with building and homeowners, including notifications and any problem-solving or issues related to the work The Contractor shall supply a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the estimated Contract Price. Should it become apparent that the final cost of the Work will exceed the estimated Contract Price by more than ten percent (10%), the Contractor shall arrange to have the Bonds reissued, based on the projected final Contract Price Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
