Renovation of an educational facility in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Keyano College is requesting detailed submissions from qualified and experienced contractors to decommission, remove and dispose of the existing air-cooled chiller, provide and maintain a temporary chiller for the 2024 cooling season, and when the weather permits, remove the temporary chiller and supply, install, and commission a new air-cooled chiller and all the required components in the Syncrude Technology Centre of the Clearwater Campus. The air-cooled chiller in the Syncrude Technology Centre has failed and must be replaced. A temporary chiller is required to supply cooling for the 2024 cooling season. When the weather permits, the temporary chiller can be taken offline in preparation for the new chiller. Once the temporary chiller is taken offline, work can commence with installing the new chiller and all associated equipment. The condition of the existing chilled glycol piping is unknown and the decision to keep or replace it will be made at the time the existing chiller is removed to make room for the temporary chiller.
