The Rural Municipality of Rudy No. 284 invites tenders to load, haul and spread gravel on RM of Rudy roads in 2024, with work starting possibly as early as May 13. Approximately 12,500 cubic yards will need to be loaded, hauled and placed on roads in the RM of Rudy at the direction of the Foreman. Specifications: a) Gravel to be loaded, hauled and placed: approximately 12,500 cubic yards. b) Pit location: SE 30-27-7-W3rd. c) Roadways: within the RM of Rudy No. 284 (max speed 60 km/hr). d) Time: May and June 2024, possibly as early as road bans come off. Contractor: a) The contractor will provide all equipment, labor, supervision and other things necessary to complete the work described in the specifications. b) The contractor will take direction from the RM of Rudy Foreman as to which gravel to load and haul, and which roadways to place gravel at. c) The contractor will adequately insure the vehicles and equipment used to perform the work, and provide evidence of coverage to the RM of Rudy before commencing work. d) The contractor will have Comprehensive General Public Liability coverage in the amount of $2 million (or greater) per occurrence or incident. e) All equipment used by the contractor must be up-to-date on Safety Inspections. f) The contractor will provide a letter of good standing with the Saskatchewan Workers Compensation Board, and will be responsible for WCB premiums. The RM of Rudy reserves the right to refuse to accept any of the tenders. The lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted. The RM of Rudy reserves the right to cancel the acceptance of the tender at any time before the execution of the contract by all parties without any liability against the municipality.
