Construction of the OPP Complex, to be situated on approximately 7.7 acres and consist of three (3) separate buildings, which will support the policing of surrounding highway infrastructure, the growing local community and the future Volkswagen Battery Cell Plant, located approximately within 3km of the proposed site. The proposed buildings include the following: the OPP Detachment, the primary function of the OPP detachment is to support the efficient and safe functionality of policing operations and is projected to be approximately 18,000 square feet and is envisioned as a two-storey building. The Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) Building primary function of the TRU building is to provide administrative and operational support space for local T.R.U. members. This building is projected to be approximately 14,000 square feet and is envisioned as a one to two-storey building, with recognition of site constraints (i.e. future DRAFT development of MTO asset). Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Building, primary function of the CQB building is to accommodate scenario training for T.R.U. members. This building is projected to be approximately 1,600 square feet and is envisioned as a one-storey building. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Architectural services has been issued by the owner's agent and has cloased, the submissions are under review. The awarded proponent will act as the Prime Consultant to provide all planning, design, and contract administration services, including coordination of all sub-consultants. The Prime Consultant will provide services in support of the overall project including but not limited to: architectural services with conceptual planning, interior design, structural engineering, vertical transportation, AV consulting, technical security consulting, mechanical, electrical and communications engineering services as well as but not limited to: fire-life safety, wayfinding, code compliance, accessibility, sustainability, independent cost estimating services, independent commissioning services and FF&E development. The intention of this RFP is to award one (1) contract for the entire Scope of Services to the Prime Consultant in accordance with the Scope of Services for the completion of the planning, design and contract administration services for the new buildings and site works of the OPP Satellite Detachment project. This Schedule A provides a detailed description of the entire Scope of Services. It is the intention of Infrastructure Ontario to award one (1) contract for the entire Scope of Services to the Prime Consultant in accordance with the summary of tasks separately priced in Schedule 4 - Price Form in the RFP. The Contract is for the completion of the planning, design and contract administration services for the new buildings and site works as part of the OPP Satellite Detachment project, located at 5 Centennial Avenue in St. Thomas, Ontario.
