River Forest Road Spot Graveling The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to provide, load, haul and truck spread approximately 400 cubic yards of class 5 gravel to several locations on a 3-mile segment of the River Forest Road. Award--Item, Group, Total: Responses that do not comply with the solicitation will be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. The award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor meeting the specifications and all terms and conditions. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping items, or by total, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the State. Class 5 gravel must be supplied by the contractor or other private entity and must be hauled by the contractor to the project starting in Township 160, Range 38W, Section 27. The start of the project site is approximately 10 miles from the town of Wannaska. Approximately 400 cubic yards are estimated to be needed for the River Forest Road. The locations will be marked with lath prior to hauling. All locations will be from the start of the River/Thompson Intersection to the River snow/s Road intersection. Road width is approximately 18 feet wide and gravel will be applied evenly along the marked locations. The River forest road will be open to the general public at the time of the graveling project. There are several turnaround locations within the 3-mile segment-depending on size and type of truck used. The State must be notified 5 working days prior to start of project so signage can be placed. A load ticket system or haul sheet documenting date, amount and location of gravel placement will be used. Project must be completed within 1 week from the start of hauling. Failure to respond to latest event version may result in bid rejection. Please be aware that there are attachments to this event. The vendor is responsible for reviewing all attachments and complying with all requirements to this Event. DNR will be the determining factor if vendor meets specifications. All questions should be directed to the buyer listed in this event. Unit price must include all costs such as labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, sales tax, use tax and all else necessary for completion of the project.
