This document provides plans and specifications for modifying the existing J-track at the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus to include a rutted test section consisting of segments with various simulated rut depths. Figure 1 shows the existing J-track. The rutted test section will be built on the east side of the track and will cover about a 300-ft x 12-ft area. Depending on available funds, TTI will make the decision on whether to proceed with the proposed project. The existing J-track is a 24-ft wide hot-mix asphalt pavement (HMA) with a 1000-ft long tangent section, beginning at the north end shown in Figure 1 to the start of the curve at the south end. Figure 2 shows the existing pavement structure on the J-track. The rutted test section will be built on the east lane following the scope of work presented in this document. Deadline for questions is Friday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. CST. Upon award, job must be completed within 10 working days and must be completed no later than May 24, 2024.
