The City of Clinton is seeking proposals from qualified design firms to provide design services for the restoration of the Lubbers Fountain. The selected firm will be responsible for producing bid, construction, and specification documents that adhere to local code requirements, incorporate owner/architect input, and align with project budgets. Surveying: Provide a topographic survey of the project site and for an approximately 1.25-acre area to include site adjacent property improvements and site adjacent utility investigation. Civil Engineering/Landscape Architecture: • General site layout of fountain improvements, perimeter walk, fence, control/pump structure and utilities. • Final site grading & drainage plan including contours at 1-foot intervals and applicable spot elevations. • Erosion Control/Stormwater BMP Plan. • Site utility plan • Landscape design and landscape planting plan for area around fountain. Structural Engineering: • Prepare details to replace the fountain basin floor designed to help resist the hydrostatic pressure. • Prepare repair details, as needed, for existing, center structure and perimeter wall. • Prepare details coordinated with civil drawings for underdrain and hydrostatic pressure relief. • Prepare details to modify the existing perimeter wall and/or extend the height of the wall as needed to interface with the perimeter walkway.
