Renovation of an educational facility in Auburn, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Auburn City Schools in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Scope of Work: The new interior building work will include but is not limited to; the complete renovation of 2 existing gang toilet rooms. This will include selective demolition, new flooring, new wall finishes, new toilet partitions and new ceiling finishes. Performance Time: The overall project must be completed on, or before August 02, 2024. The anticipated ''Notice to Proceed'' is May 15, 2024, for the initiation of Shop drawings, Submittal Data and Product Procurement. Contractor's access to construction site will begin on May 25, 2024. THE WORK WILL INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING WINDOWS, INSTALL NEW SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS AS SHOWN ON PLANS. REMOVE AND REPLACE HVAC SYSTEMS. REFER TO ALL DRAWINGS & SPECIFICATIONS FOR FULL SCOPE OF REQUIRED WORK. projects containing only abatement and/or only demolition do not require Builder's Risk insurance, unless required by the Owner. Note: projects containing any scope of work besides abatement and/or demolition require Builder's Risk insurance. DESCRIPTION OF THE CHANGE(S) IN WORK: Fully describe the change or changes to the original contract work for which the Construction Contract is being modified. This description should be written so that a reader of the document who is not directly involved in the project can understand what is being changed. If the space provided on the form is inadequate for such a description, use attachments and cite them All labor, materials, tools and other equipment, services and supervision required to complete all interior repainting work as indicated on Finish Schedules and to the full extent of the drawings and specifications. Work under this Contract shall also include, but not necessarily be limited to: Moisture testing of substrates. Surface preparation of substrates as required for acceptance of paint, including cleaning, small crack repair, patching, caulking, and making good surfaces. Specific pre-treatments noted herein. Sealing / priming surfaces for repainting. Refer to drawings and schedules (e.g., Finish Schedule) for type, location and extent of interior repainting required, and include all touch-ups necessary to complete work shown, scheduled or specified. This Section along with the drawings forms part of the Contract documents and is to be read, interpreted and coordinated with all other parts. General Conditions and Supplementary Conditions and Division 1, General Requirements form an integral part of this Section of Work. The Painting contractor shall refer to these and all other related parts. Architect is not responsible for other websites that provide documents. Addendums will only be provided to entities that have registered with the architect. The Architect retains ownership and the copyrights of the documents. If a bidder requires printed documents, please submit a request to the Architect (rwilliams@bdwarchitects.com) and include the companies name, name of contact, phone number, address along with a deposit of$75.00 per set. The deposit will not be refunded The Bid Documents consist of the Advertisement for Bids, these Instructions to Bidders, any supplements to these Instructions to Bidders, the Proposal Form and the Accounting of Sales Tax, and the proposed Contract Documents. The proposed Contract Documents consist of the Construction Contract, the Performance Bond and Payment Bond, the Conditions of the Contract (General, Supplemental, and other Conditions), Drawings, Specifications and all addenda issued prior to execution of the Construction Contract. Bid Documents may be obtained or examined as set forth in the Advertisement for Bids. All questions shall be submitted to the Architect - rwilliams@bdwarchitects.com (Not the Owner. This includes telephone calls, emails, and faxes from general contractors, subcontractors and vendors) All questions or substitution requests must be submitted in writing to the architect. Verbal questions may not be answered nor are they binding unless issued in written form as an addendum to the contract documents. Drawings, Specifications, and Addenda will only be issued to General Contractors, Official Plan Holders & Plan Rooms. However, Prime Contractors are responsible for ensuring addenda are issued to their respective subcontractors and vendors.
