Site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Bismarck, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
State Capitol Mechanical Upgrades Phase Two Asbestos Abatement Asbestos Abatement related to the work of the State Capitol Phased mechanical project to replace all existing steam heating devices in L-wing, basement, and tower. Includes demolition of (3) existing steam boilers. Hot water piping riser in existing chase from basement to floor 19. Phased alternate improvements include replacement of existing window steam fin tube elements to new hot water finned tube elements on all tower floors. Several existing steam radiators to be converted to HW. Includes existing plaster removal and infill. All work will be required to accommodate owners heating/ cooling season schedule and 2025 Legislative Session. Drawings for the Mechanical Project will be used to show the extent of Asbestos Abatement. Single Bids will be received from qualified Bidders at the same time on the following portions of the work, separately as listed or combined at the Bidder s option: Asbestos Abatement Contractor. If the Bidder does not return the set of documents within the designated time, none of the deposit will be refunded. Please allow 2 days for printing. Partial or complete sets of prints and specifications may be obtained from EAPC. The sets or partial sets will be distributed upon receipt of payment for the information charged at the current reproduction rate. None of this payment will be refunded. Completeness and adequacy of the list of documents requested shall be the responsibility of the person making the request. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under this section. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten days allowed, the bidder's bond must be forfeited to the governing body and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. No bid may be read or considered if the bid does not fully comply with the requirements of this section and that any deficient bid submitted must be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately That a bidder, except a bidder on a municipal, rural, and industrial water supply project using funds provided under Public Law No. 99-294 [100 Stat. 426; 43 U.S.C. 390a], must be licensed for the full amount of the bid as required by section 43-07-12. For projects using funds provided under Public Law No. 99-294 [100 Stat. 426; 43 U.S.C. 390a], the advertisement must state that, unless a bidder obtains a contractor's license for the full amount of its bid within twenty days after it is determined the bidder is the lowest responsible bidder, the bid must be rejected and the contract awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. Bids shall be submitted to the person and place, and by the time indicated in 00 02000 Invitation to Bid. Bids shall be packaged in accordance with 00 1000 - Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject Bids and to hold all Bids for a period of 30 days after the date fixed for the opening thereof.
