Lamar Soil and Water Conservation District (LSWCD) will be accepting sealed bids for furnishing all labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for the Pine Creek Site14 Dam Repair, Lamar County, Texas. Structure Site No. 14 is a single-purpose earthen dam designed in 1966 for flood prevention with the construction completed in 1967. The structure is an integral part of the Pine Creek Watershed Site No. 14 is located approximately 7 miles north and 3.5 miles east of Paris, Lamar County, Texas. The site is situated within the Blackland Prairie and East Cross Timbers physiographic area of Lamar County, Texas. The following general items as scope of work: repairing the principal spillway, inlet pad, outlet berm, plunge pool, embankment slopes, and perimeter fencing. The major items of work requiring inspection are approximately 135.5-feet of HDPE pipe; an unspecified quantity of grouting to fill the annular space between the casing and carrier pipes approximately 2.0 acres of vegetation establishment; 3,035 square yards of geotextile; 1,947 tons of rock riprap; 54.5 feet of new 21-inch I.D. corrugated metal pipe; 21.8 cubic yards of select gravel backfill; 1.8 cubic yards of concrete, a new galvanized trash guard and a steel orifice plate; 100 to 200 pounds of steel rebar; approximately 3,000 cubic yards of site preparation; and 8,174 linear feet of new fencing. Soil disturbing activities will include (in no order): construction of the access road and construction campsite; erosion repair earthwork; geotextile and rock-riprap installation; principal spillway repair construction; erection of existing and new fencing; and disposal of waste materials. Performance time for completion of this contract is 164 calendar days, holidays and weather days not included. Estimated magnitude of work is $500,000 - $750,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
