Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Concord, California. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; for paving for a residential development; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Residential Pavement Maintenance - Zone 2L. Question Deadline 05/08/2024 at 5:00 PM PT The deadline for submitting questions about this project. All Bids Shall Be Presented Under Sealed Cover and Shall Be Accompanied by Cash, Cashier's or Certified Check or a Bidder's Bond Executed by a Corporate Surety Insurer. The Bidder's Guarantee Shall Be in an Amount Equal to at Least Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid and Made Payable to the City of Concord. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities will be final. The bidder's attention is directed to the section of the Special Provisions regarding the requirement to enter into a Project Stabilization Agreement ("PSA") for City construction projects funded in whole or in part with City of Concord funds where the engineer's estimate or bid amount exceeds $750,000.00. The PSA also includes Helmets to Hardhats requirement. A copy of the PSA is attached and incorporated by reference. The City Council has ascertained that State of California prevailing wage rates are applicable for this and all City projects. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-12," Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control, storm water pollution control program, digouts, rubberized cape seal (ARAM), slurry seal, crack seal, curb ramps, valley gutters, miscellaneous concrete, striping and pavement markings, and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in these Special Provisions. The estimated construction cost for the project for all the Bid Schedules is $1,760,000. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control,storm water pollution control program, digouts or remove and replace hot mix asphalt (HMA), skin patch, asphalt rubberized aggregate membrane (ARAM), type II slurry seal, crack seal, cape seal, curb ramps, valley gutters, miscellaneous concrete, lower and adjust utility covers to finish grade, striping and pavement markings, and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in these Special Provisions
