Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Taylorsville, Kentucky. Working plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
** As of July 10, 2024 this project is way overbudget. No definite date for the rebid.** Spencer County Elem. & Middle Renovations/Additions, New Athletic Facility, and Campus Improvements Examine bidding documents carefully prior to date for receipt of bids, make written request to Architect for true meaning of any part of contract documents, for interpretation and correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein. All interpretations and corrections will be included in an addendum issued byArchitect. Contractor's written questions can be sent by photo facsimile to Tom Smith, AIA at Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects (859) 224-8446 or by email at tsmith@scbarchitects.com for interpretation up to and through seven days prior to bid submission date. Only a written interpretation or correction by addendum shall be binding. No Bidder shall reply upon interpretations or corrections given by any other method. Project Location: 1265 and 1263 Mt. Washington Rd., Taylorsville, KY 40071 Spencer Co. Elem.: Renovation including a new geothermal well field, HVAC equipment and controls, electrical upgrades, security upgrades, ceilings, and roof replacement. Alternate to infill the existing courtyard for a new Media Hub. Spencer Co. Middle: Interior renovation including HVAC equipment and controls, electrical upgrades, security upgrades, ceilings, expansion of the existing Cafeteria, and serving line modifications. Alternate to add an addition to the existing administrative suite. New Athletic Facility (Alternate): New Pre-Engineered Metal Building including restrooms, concessions, and an indoor athletic field. Campus Improvements: Storm drainage replacement, parking lot expansions, additional lanes on-site for traffic, new ADA compliant pedestrian walkways, and infrastructure for new football field bleachers. Construction cost of the project is estimated to be $20 million Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. Any bids not submitted on the proper form shall not be considered. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds. The bond shall cover the entire base bid cost and any accepted alternates Prevailing wage rates will not apply to this project Addendum #1-#6 have been issued as of 6-10-2024.
