No definite date for the rebid.** Hubbardston Library Foundation Repair The anticipated pro-ject completion date is Au-gust 31, 2024 The Town of Hubbardston in-vites sealed bids for foundation repair and pointing at its Library, located at 7 Main Street, Hubbardston, MA 01452. The Work consists of repointing and rebuilding the brick foundation, with a focus on the front area of the building to the right of the stairway (approx. 23' in length), repointing locations up to 6' high in the AD and CD corners, and the area to the left of the stairway (approx. 23' in length). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work. The Work includes, but is not limited to: o Excavating for exterior access down to solid foundation o Removing all loose masonry and debris in the proposed exterior and interior work areas o Rebuilding and repointing as needed to approximately 6-feet above grade on NE corner o Cutting out and replacing broken bricks with matching bricks and matching mortar o Grinding out loose joints and washing areas with water o Preparing brick surfaces for bonding agent application o Applying masonry bonding agent to ensure mortar adhesion o Filling cavities and joints between bricks and securing loose bricks o Completing an acid wash of areas if necessary o Installing and backfilling drain pipe (see illustration provided) Q/A- Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Office of the Town Administrator, Hubbardston Town Hall, 7 Main Street, Hubbardston, MA 01452, and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, when issued, will be mailed by certified mail with return receipt requested to all prospective bidders (at the respective address furnished by them for such purposes), or sent via facsimile or email if time requires. Failure of any bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his bid as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the Contract Documents.
