The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) owns and manages approximately 160,000 acres of forestland in north central Florida for the protection of floodplains and their associated habitats. These properties are managed under a multiple-use policy that includes provisions for public access and recreation. The District is requesting bids for field services technician for maintenance services on District lands. The services required for this project include the services for all regions. Contractors are required to propose on all services within the regions. All work is based on an hourly basis. Requested work will be assigned in any of the four regions. All work will be on a work order basis with prior written approval from the District. Labor rates are to include all expenses needed to complete the listed responsibilities. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and minor supplies (i.e., nails, bolts, staples, screws, etc.) required to complete the work. Contractors can pick up wood board mortise fencing for repairs at District headquarters in Live Oak, Florida. All other materials will be purchased by the District. Any special projects initiated by the District that require additional materials may be reimbursed with prior approval. Contractor will be required to respond to any activities in accordance with this Scope of Services within 72 hours of notice by the District following a District inspection. The District will not pay invoices for tracts not completed in accordance with the Scope of Services or for non-compliant contractors. District lands are acquired and sold, creating an increase/decrease in the listed number of tracts that the District is responsible for maintaining. Rejection of Responses: The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or other proposals submitted in response to District invitation. District also reserves the right to waive any minor deviations in an otherwise valid proposal. All questions submitted shall include the ITB number in the email subject line. Questions with answers will be posted on the District website , on May 15, 2024, before 5:00 p.m. Questions will not be answered to individual respondents or answered via telephone or other verbal communication. October 1, 2024 Anticipated start date. Respondents will bid on all Field Services Technician maintenance for all regions. See the Qualifications of Bidders in Section 4 and Field Services Technician Maintenance Tasks in Appendix A. The District shall award this contract to the responsible and responsive contractor who submits the lowest hourly rate for all services in each region.Contract Term: The initial contract shall be for a period of one year with the potential for two subsequent one-year renewals based upon the same terms and conditions or terms more favorable to the District, and mutual agreement of the District and contractor.
