Renovation of a mixed-use development in Smiths Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Port Huron Area School District will accept sealed proposals for the Food Service Line Replacement at Indian Woods Elementary School, 4975 West Water, Smiths Creek, MI 48074. Each proposal must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or standard form bid bond, made payable to the Port Huron Area School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid submitted. Failure of any accepted Bidder to enter into contract for the work will cause forfeit of his bid security. After contracts for the work have been signed, all bid securities will be returned. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity or informality in bids, to reject any and/or all bids, in whole or in part, or to award any Contract to other than the low bidder, should it be deemed in the Owner's best interest to do so. Bids will be accepted following the specifications stated on the attached document for brands or manufacturers. 1. Provide equipment per attached specifications. Suggested brands/manufacturers are noted, but district will accept bids for alternate brands/manufacturers that meet the criteria. Please provide detailed specifications if quoting an alternate. 2. Remove, and dispose of any existing equipment as needed, including removal and disposal of existing cabinets. 3. Make the room ready to accept all final furnishings. 4. Provide dumpsters on site during delivery for disposal of packaging materials. 5. Dealer to perform the following work: 1. Confirm all utilities prior to release of equipment to factory 2. Sign off on all required shop drawings confirming direction, voltage, sizes, and any other necessary items to release. 3. Provide signed off on shop drawing to owner for records 6. Coordinate with different trades on timing of equipment delivery and with owner. 7. Provide owner operating manuals in digital form and any operational training videos by manufacturer. 8. Coordinate factory-rep training with owner's staff at completion of project. 9. Any work not included within specs that is required/needed dealer must bring this to the attention of owner at time of RFP. 10. Work shall begin on or after June 17, 2024 and be completed by July 26, 2024. 11. All project labor must be paid prevailing wage rates, the cost of which shall be included in the bid. 12. Must provide 5% bid bond and complete required disclosures (Familial Disclosure, Iran Sanctions Act and Criminal Background Checks). INSTALL SCOPE BY INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR 1. Receive, uncrate, deliver, and set in place new serving lines 2. Remove and dispose of existing equipment, including removal and disposal of existing cabinets. 3. Remove and dispose of all protective wrapping on new equipment. 4. Bolt individual sections together and level serving lines and tray slides. 5. Install new power where necessary for new equipment connections. 6. Test all units for proper power. 7. Install new drains to existing plumbing drains. 8. Test equipment after all units are energized. 9. Does not include any new utility supplies and/or rough-ins, such as additional electrical panels and underground plumbing. Any additional power and/or plumbing additions or modifications to facilitate the new equipment shall be specified and provided by others. Provide materials and labor warranty. 5 Years experience preferred with references.
