Site work and paving for a road / highway in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Citywide Mill and Overlay & Site-Specific Pavement Repairs 1.5" - 2" Mill/Overlay citywide paving and site-specific pavement repairs - The work will be done under one Contract and the Proposal shall generally include the following: Notifying Parking Enforcement Department of temporary parking restrictions. Posting and removing temporary no parking signs in accordance with the requirements described herein and as directed by the E.I.C. Set up, maintenance and removal of all temporary traffic control devices necessary to protect the workers, the general public and the work in accordance with the requirements described herein and as directed by the E.I.C. Performance of two test sections, one for the single roller compaction and one for dual roller compaction. Mill existing pavement to the limits and thicknesses designated in the field by the E.I.C. Typical average milled thickness is 1-3/4" and it will vary per location as determined by the E.I.C. Clean up and removal of all millings and debris. Installation of temporary striping on the milled surface as directed by the E.I.C. Adjust utilities as ordered by the E.I.C. Additional cleaning prior to applying tack coat and/or asphalt concrete shall be as determined by the E.I.C. and payment shall be made under Item 04.325. Apply tack coat to the entire roadway surface or at joint only as described in the Paving Details and as ordered by the E.I.C. 10) Asphalt concrete resurfacing of all milled surfaces including compaction. Typical paved thickness is 1-3/4" and it will vary per location as determined by the E.I.C. 11) Installation of temporary striping on the newly paved surface as directed by the E.I.C. 12) Installation of permanent striping to replace previous striping configuration in-kind or to new configuration as described in the Paving Details or as directed by the E.I.C 13) Replacement of existing inductance loop vehicle detection with wireless vehicle detection. 14) Removal, storage and reuse of existing wireless vehicle detectors. 15) Restoration and clean up of all disturbed areas. 16) Performance of nuclear density testing as ordered by the E.I.C. 17) Performance of core sample testing as ordered by the E.I.C. Millings: The contractor shall provide as directed by the E.I.C. a minimum of twenty (20) loads of millings to 1120 Seneca. Material delivery to be coordinated with City representatives for on-site placement at 1120 Seneca. This work shall consist replacing the curb box and frame, and grate top section of Buffalo Sewer Authority receivers. Granite Curb Installation, 4" Width Granite Curb Radius Installation, 4" Width Granite Curb Installation, 5" Width Granite Curb Radius Installation, 5" Width Reset Granite Curb SCOPE OF WORK: This work shall include all labor and materials necessary to remove and replace the top section of a Buffalo Sewer Authority receiver. CONDUIT, RIGID PLASTIC CLASS 1, 2" - This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install 2" PVC schedule #40 conduit as per the specifications and as directed by the E.I.C Street lighting facilities, material and workmanship shall conform to NYSDOT Standard Specification Section 670 Highway Street Lighting System. Questions regarding the Contract Documents should be directed to Phillip Pecoraro at ppecoraro@buffalony.qov. Bidders shall promptly notify Phillip Pecoraro at ppecoraro@buffalony.gov of any errors, omissions, conflicts or ambiguity within the Contract Documents. No questions or inquiries regarding this bid will be accepted within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening. Each bidder's attention is called to the General Municipal Law, which requires a bidder's Certification of Non-Collusion. Copies of such Certificates are part of the Proposal Form and, unless complied with, the bid will not be accepted. BIDDERS MUST SUBMIT PRIOR TO AWARDING OF A CONTRACT A STATEMENT INDICATING THAT THEY WILL WORK TOWARD A MINORITY WORKFORCE GOAL OF 25% AND A WOMEN WORKFORCE GOAL OF 5%. IN ADDITION, A STATEMENT MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE AWARDING OF A CONTRACT INDICATING THAT THE BIDDER WILL WORK TOWARD A BUSINESS UTILIZATION GOAL FOR MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE OF 25% AND WOMEN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE OF 5% Addenda will be emailed from Avalon Document Services to Bidders listed on the official Plan Holders List. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all Addenda by securely stapling in place all addenda within the front or back covers of the proposal book. All Addenda so issued shall become part of the Contract Documents. The City of Buffalo will not be responsible for full or partial set of Contract Documents, including any Addenda obtained from any other source. The City of Buffalo reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. additional bid date note: It is also highly encouraged that bidders track delivery of their mailed proposals and use appropriate priority mail as necessary. City of Buffalo staff is available to accept deliveries on standard business days Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The DPW will set a box up for the bidder to deposit the sealed proposal. There may be multiple bids on this date; it is the bidder's responsibility to properly label the sealed proposal and place the proposal inside the correct box.
