General Requirements - Insurance Required Liquidated damages may be imposed for failure to perform as indicated in the bid proposal in accordance with Section 108.08 of the GDOT Standard Specifications for the Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 edition. The successful bidder will have up to one hundred and eighty (180) consecutive calendar days to complete the work upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed to Construction from the Project Sponsor Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid, prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond per GDOT Section 103.05 will be required by the City.
