Renovation of a detention facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Solicitation The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) hereby issues solicitation 15B31024Q00000006 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Chaille Roof Repair at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) located in Miami, Florida. Federal Detention Center Miami is a federal correctional facility located at 33 NE 4th St, Miami, FL 33132. The work will be performed at the adjacent Chaille Block buildings located at 401 N. Miami Avenue, Miami, FL. 33128. The work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope but is not limited to: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment for the Chaille Roof Repair project at FDC Miami. The project consists of Roof Overlay to include four (4) sections of the roof approximately 6,810 SQ FT. and Re-Roof of existing overhangs, two (2) sections of the roof approximately 400 SQ FT each. Also, remove sheathing from the underside of the overhangs and replace with new DensGlass sheathing or comparable material and stucco to a smooth finish. Contractor will paint the overhangs to include a primer and base coat. - Contractor will obtain any permits required. - Contractor will comply with all security and work restriction requirements of the FBOP. See the Statement of Work/Specifications attachment included with the solicitation posting for the complete requirements of the work. The performance period for the project will be 168 Calendar Days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000 and $250,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238160 with a corresponding small business size standard of $19,000,000. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for continuously monitoring this website to ensure that they have the most recent information about this proposed contract action. IMPORTANT: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above (see provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your registration and view the table therein listing NAICS codes and your indicated business size relative to the assigned NAICS code above). Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information. In order to provide sufficient response time prior to the offer due date, the Government is establishing the above cut-off date for questions about the solicitation. All offerors shall offer in accordance with the current solicitation to include all amendments (if any) as issued by the Contracting Officer only. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
