The Town of Beulaville has receivedfunding from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality(NCDEQ) Division of Water Infrastructure as follows: 1. Stormwater Asset Inventory and Assessment and Stormwater Capital Improvement Plan Grant in the amountof $190,000. Contingent upon formal awards, theTown of Beulaville is soliciting requestsfor qualifications for professional engineering services to assist the Town ofBeulaville in the stormwater asset inventory and assessment and development of a stormwater capital improvement plan. Beulaville retains the rightto award this project to a single firmbased on the needs of the project andscoring factors used to evaluate eachfirm. Payment terms will be negotiatedwith the selected firm. The fees for professional engineering services will bepaid with grant funds. Engineering services for all work mustcomply with NCDEQ-DWI guidancedocuments and receive acceptance/approval from NCDEQ-DWI prior to finalpayments by the Town of Beulaville. Engineering services for the work shallinclude, but not be limited to, standardtasks necessary for the implementationof the project in conformance with theNCDEQ-DWI program: Water/Wastewater Experience: thespecialized experience and technicalcompetence of the staff to be assignedto the project with respect to water/ wastewater improvements or relatedwork, description of firm's prior experience, including any similar projects,construction cost, and names of localofficials knowledgeable regarding thefirm's performance on related work;and 3. Firm Capacity and Capability: The capacity and capability of the firm to perform the work in question, includingspecialized services, within the periodof the grant, the past record of performance of the firm with respect tosuch factors as control of costs, quality of work, and ability to meet schedules; description of firm's current workactivities, capability of carrying out allaspects of related activities, and firm'santicipated availability during the termof the project; and 4. The proposed work plan and schedule for activities to be performed; and 5. Documentation of compliance withstate and federal debarment/eligibilityrequirements. 1. Respondents may review the grant application(s) which include descriptionsof the proposed work including activities, budgets, schedules, and other pertinent information by visiting the Townof Beulaville at 508 East Main Street,Beulaville, NC during regular officehours. Contract Award: Once the most qualified firm is selected, costs for the services will be negotiated to include separate pricing for engineering reports, engineering design/ bid package, and construction administration and inspection services. Contracting for these activities will clearlydefine the costs of each activity. Contracts shall be contingent upon formalgrant awards. If an agreement of contract compensation cannot be determined with the first qualified firm, theTown of Beulaville will eliminate thatfirm and begin discussion with the nextmost qualified firm.
