The City of Canton (herein referred to as the City) requests qualified Contractors experienced in design and construction to submit proposals for the services described in this RFP. The City desires to update and renovate the Historic Canton Theatre's exterior facade. The project includes the signage and exterior facade. The scope of work, as described later, encompasses paint work, restoration of "Canton Theatre" exterior lights, and design of additional elements. This Request for Proposals (RFP) describes the services in general, the required scope of services, the selection process, and the minimum information that must be included with the proposal. Failure to submit information in accordance with the requirements and procedures listed herein may be cause for disqualification. Any questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by e-mail to the group listed below no later than the date indicated on the Calendar of Events as listed on the cover page of this RFP. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, submitted by e-mail, contain the RFP#Title as indicated on the cover sheet within the subject line of the email, and addressed to the review committee as shown below. To be given consideration, questions must be received by the due date for questions. Answers to the questions will be posted as an Addendum to the RFP. No interpretation or clarification of the meaning of the instructions or scope of services will be made orally except for general information that does not require clarification. The project includes design and execution of the following elements: Exterior Paint, including windows, doors, and trim. Restoration or replacement of both vertical "Theatre" sign elements and the horizontal "Canton" signage. Upgrade and retrofitting to LED of lighting on both vertical "Theatre" sign elements and horizontal "Canton" signage. Repair or replacement of globe lighting on top of the marquee. Repair of lighting underneath the canopy. Repair or update of exterior poster boxes and box office window and associated hardware. The inclusion of an ornamental element around the marquee to better integrate the digital signage into the exterior design of the building. Repair of the rear entrance to the Theatre The Proposal shall demonstrate the Consultant understanding of and acknowledgement of the Scope of Services. The Proposal shall also include a detailed description of the proposed approach to the Project. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted, to waive any informalities in the proposals submitted, and to award a contract only when it appears to be in the best interest of the City.
