The Village of Climax is currently accepting Proposals for the following water line replacements: Highway 18 Approximately 88 meters to be replaced from the connection on east side of 1st St E, under Highway 18, along Highway 37 to north of the railway tracks Approximately 2-3 service connections A portion of 5th St W Approximately 75 meters to be replaced between Highway 37 and 2nd Ave W Approximately 3 service connections Installation of 1 new curb stop A portion of 3rd St W Approximately 210 meters to be replaced between 2nd Ave W and 4th Ave W Approximately 6-8 service connections Project will include: -Uncovering existing pipe; -Placing new pipe over/beside existing water pipe where possible; -Disconnecting and reconnecting all service connections; -Removal and clean-up of ALL debris; -All water pipe and service connection supplies will be provided, all gravel/sand will be provided. Contractor responsible for hauling gravel from the pile and placing it in the trench where needed; -Contractor responsible for calling in all utility locates before digging commences. -Current copy of Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Number must be submitted with proposal. -Contractor responsible for following all OH&S regulations and ensuring a safe workplace. A safety cage is available. -Contractor must supply all equipment needed to complete the project.
