Site work for a civil project in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Project construction will be let under one Contract with construction including, but not limited to, the following major work items: o Modify Existing Piney Green Pump Station. Work to include addition of new wet well, new submersible pumps, two (2) new comminuters, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, modifications of existing pump station building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work. o Construct new Hubert Pump Station at the existing Hubert Water Treatment Plant site. New pump station to include submersible wet well with submersible pumps (and room for a fourth), valve vault, odor control system, monorail pump lift crane under roof, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work. o Construct new Swansboro Pump Station at the existing Swansboro Wastewater Treatment Plant Site. New pump station to include headworks structure with mechanical bar screen/compactor and grit removal system, submersible wet well with submersible pumps, valve vault, odor control system, pump lift crane, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work. o Modify Existing Hall Creek Pump Station. Work to include addition of new wet well, new valve vault, new submersible pumps, lift davit crane, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work. Site work includes raising the existing site elevation approximately two feet to be above flood elevation. Demolish existing wet well and valve vault and associated equipment, piping, rails, and other items. o Decommission Swansboro Wastewater Water Treatment Plant when Swansboro Pump Station is operational. o Influent and effluent pipe connection work at all four lift stations including installation of valves as indicated and coordination on pump station start up and pipe connections with the Contractor selected for the Highway 24 Utility Corridor Improvements, Phase 1A - Wastewater Force Main project work. o Telemetry System and associated electrical work. Each Bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in North Carolina, payable to the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into and that a satisfactory performance bond will be executed. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a Bid Bond in the form prescribed in N.C. G. S. 143-129. Bidders are notified that legislative acts relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts and that satisfactory performance and payment bonds will be required on this project The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award THE contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority, appear to be in its best interest. The right is reserved to hold any or all Bids for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening thereof. By mutual agreement, the Authority reserves the right to extend this period and hold any or all Bids for an additional 30 days.
