Site work for a civil project in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Project construction will be let under one Contract with construction including, but not limited to, the following major work items: o Installation of approximately 7,645 linear feet of 16" force main and 20,675 linear feet of 18" force main and associated appurtenances via open cut. o Installation of approximately 1,860 linear feet of 16" force main and 4,615 linear feet of 18" force main via horizontal directional drill. o Installation of approximately 700 linear feet of 30" steel encasement and 18" force main via bore and jack. o Replacement of approximately 19 ARVs along the existing 12" force main from the Swansboro PS to the connection point of the new 16" force main. o Replacement of approximately 10 2-inch ARVs with 3-inch combination ARVs along the existing 24" force main from Piney Green PS to the French Creek WWTP. Each Bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in North Carolina, payable to the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into and that a satisfactory performance bond will be executed. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a Bid Bond in the form prescribed in N.C. G. S. 143-129. Bidders are notified that legislative acts relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts and that satisfactory performance and payment bonds will be required on this project. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award THE contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority, appear to be in its best interest. The right is reserved to hold any or all Bids for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening thereof. By mutual agreement, the Authority reserves the right to extend this period and hold any or all Bids for an additional 30 days.
